Why Capital Factory

Capital Factory is a startup accelerator and one of the most active investors in the Texas tech scene since 2013. They have four floors of space in downtown Austin, hosting co-working offices, local org meetups, and weapon exhibitions.

Capital Factory claims to be a crucial, if not primary, engine behind Austin's emergence as a tech startup hub. Despite its carefully cultivated liberal image, Capital Factory has deep connections to military, weapons, surveillance technology, and the far-right. They are working closely with institutions whose goal is to tie the Austin tech scene to the Israeli defense industry and integrate genocidal technology into the US market— using Austin’s tech expertise to innovate for the death machine.

War profiteers and fascist tech billionaires are moving to Texas because they think they won't face public opposition here. We need to show them that they're not welcome.

FROM AUSTIN TO PALESTINE. CANCEL CAPITAL FACTORY.

We demand that

capital factory:

  1. Drop connections with all venture capitalist firms, companies, and institutions that are involved in the Israeli military, intelligence, and surveillance industries or who profit from genocide, including Texas Venture Partners (TVP), NightDragon, and 8VC. This includes ending the partnership with TVP’s DoD Readiness Program, which brings genocide technology into the US market.

  2. Divest Capital Factory's investment funds, including the Texas Fund, from all startups which are connected to the Israeli military and surveillance industries, including dual-use companies.

  3. Drop connections with weapon manufacturers who have been found to be connected to genocide profiteering, such as BAE Systems and Palantir.

We successfully kicked war criminals out of SXSW, and we won’t stop until we drive all genocide profiteers out of Austin!

OUR CAMPAIGN

We’ve been out in the community, protesting, and educating for Palestinian liberation for years. Our struggles are intertwined: the Zionist entity exports colonial violence. Capital Factory is a prime example of this, bringing Israeli murder & surveillance technology to the US border through its partnerships.

Through this campaign, we can materially choke the supply chain of genocide. We believe that we will win: the people are on our side. All across the globe, communities have pushed out genocidaires and demanded accountability. Here, too, in Austin, genocide profiteers will be embarrassed to show their faces. Weapons manufacturing plants will gather dust, then return to the earth.

We will not let them rest until our demand to cut all ties to genocide profiteering is met.

We will keep exposing the skeletons in Capital Factory’s offices and confronting warmongers in the streets. Join our mailing list to keep in touch.

eNDORSE THE CAMPAIGN

We welcome like-minded organizations to join us in our demands. Zionism is not just a threat to Palestinians, but to people all over the world— Capital Factory is actively trying to integrate Zionist genocide technology into US departments, like ICE and city police. Capital Factory’s acceleration of weapons and surveillance technology have a broad range of impacts, from enabling genocide in Palestine, war in Venezuela, spyware for CBP and ICE, and harms to our environment.

Our struggles are intertwined and we are stronger when we stand together.

Working together, we can build a movement strong enough to pressure Capital Factory and kick the genocide economy out of Austin.
